Philadelphia Council Supports NROTC – April 2010 At Villanova University, April 20th…At the invitation of Colonel Brian Manthe, USMC, our Council participated in the presentation of the Gerard M. Mauer Memorial Sword at the 2010 Spring Review of Villanova University’s NROTC. Presenting the award on behalf of the Council was the son of the award’s namesake, RADM Gerard Mauer. The recipient of the award was Midshipman 1/C Kyle Lisowski, USNR. Kyle is a senior in the School of Business with a GPA of 3.77. He recently completed a successful assignment as Battalion Executive Officer. Upon graduation, Kyle will report to Pensacola to begin flight school. The event’s Guest Speaker was RADM Stephen K. Chadwick, a member of our Council’s Board of Directors. Also assisting were members of the Ben Franklin High School’s JNROTC, led by Master Gunnery Sergeant Worley. More photos are here.
